Kuta Entry- Summer Necessities

Hello everyone! So I am now staying in Kuta, a part of Bali which is a tourist hot spot. In this post I shall be showing images of fashion items that are my personal necessities for this current trip.        

Do take a moment to enjoy the view of this floating ship in the sky. I wish that I can get one for myself...

   

This first one is a nautical bag from Cache cache. It really helps during this summer holiday because of it's high capacity. I crammed a lot of stuff into this bag:  sunblock, water bottle, wallet, clothes, sunnies, bandana, hairpins, hairband, whateverrr everything you need while you are enjoying your holiday activities. 

        

Over here is my trustee cute flip flops from Furla. The orange shades is really giving off the summer vibe yet the gray dash of the bow keep it classy and not overly playful. Even though it looks slippery but they really are not. They can cooperate during the sand walks, also help you not to slip on wet floor situation, I even wore them while I was rafting but still you have to be careful whatever it is you wear always be cautious of your environment.

                                    

                                    

 

For vintage touch have this flower hairpin with you to beautify your hairdo. This one is from Love Diva.  Get any color you like but I prefer red color among others. Bananas for bandanas yes I am, these are from Hard Rock shop and random flea market respectively, bandanas are also great options to beautify your updo.

         

         

Straw hats! These are from Zara and Cache cache respectively. Wear them to protect your hair and prevent them from getting too damaged from all the sun exposure. 

                                 

Sun shades are mandatory guys. You cannot go on summer holiday anywhere in the world without sun shades, and sunblocks too of course. Like Michelle Phan's said 90% of wrinkles are from sun damage so protect everything like mad hahahhaha!

                                 

This bustier is from topshop. It goes with loads of things like overalls, hot pants or jeans. Use them wisely to complete your look.

                                 

Hot pants galore! Grab your favorites and work it girls! This high waist hot pants is from Religion, which I love because it sits comfortably on my waist and the hem ends just right where it is suppose to be. 

       

Crop tees are so right. They goes with mostly everything summer related. Work it with bikinis or suitable outerwear and you got yourself a legit summer look.

Or you can have matching swimsuit if you don't want to wear bikinis. Like this one from La Christie.

While you are staying in Kuta I recommend y'all to try this restaurant called Dulang Cafe at Kuta Square. I tried the Chicken Rice and it was sooo good, and this is coming from a girl that eats Hainamese Chicken rise like crazy, yes I tasted loads and loads of Hainam Chicken rice and the one from Dulang Cafe is pretty gooood! Dang thinking about it makes me hungry~

The One with the Delay

Hey beautiful people! Yes I mean you! Haha for those of you celebrating Ramadhan, I bid you all Happy Eid Mubarak. I am not even sure what that means but I wish you all the best!

Funny story guys, as I was selecting the pictures the speakerphone lady just said that the flight is having some technical problems and surprise surprise we are delayed for an hour... It is okay though because home is where the wifi is and there is free wifi here. Humanity what is happening? We are actually living in a world where human is crippled without the internet.

Anyway this is also my first time uploading with ipad mini, lets just hope it turns out alright.

After Code Z

The world may not end in 21st December 2013, but what if it begun at that time. Patient zero was infected at that date and soon of course the earth that we use to know is no longer what it was. 

Life is even harder, money no longer matters. What is left of humanity fought and keep developing the cure.

In the very distant future when it all blows over, the remaining human returned to their rightful land where nothing will ever be the same. People are peculiar; after spending so much time fighting the dead that came back to life, now they are trying to revive what is dead and abandoned.

What is the probability of a Z Apocalypse anyway? Majority of people know about the ant-reanimator-fungus. So if that fungi managed to infect human, the wait for blowing people's head with shotgun is almost over then.

June Novelty - Ombrelicious

Hello everybody let me introduce you to these adorable babies. These are Ombre flats/loafers from June Novelty. Yess you have seen the return of ombre ( and tie-dyes too) for quite sometime now I suppose: from tshirt, shirt, scarf, bags, pants, belt, iphone casing, whatever everywhere! 

So my dear friend Yonni one day asked me if I want to model for her, and I thought I heard wrong. Like, whaat?  It turns out that she will be selling these ombre flats; and that I was offered to help her to become her legs/feet model. I was not so sure too but she asked and I tried anyway, actually the result was not so bad after all. Check out these behind the scenes pictures for your entertainment (or preview).

I have no idea how to pose. Le awkward!

This, the girl below in gorgeous blue dress is Yonni herself. So she will be the owner of June Novelty, an online shop that sells these babies that will complete your Ombrelicious look.

During the photo taking I felt like these loafers are comfortable, just make sure that you do not buy one size smaller or bigger. Let me know your thoughts on these, is it cute or do you feel like it can complete your style?

Denim Tea Party

What? Two posts in two days? I know this is a miracle. So I am on a mission, to post more often...!

Blue Jeans white Tshirt, not Lana Del Rey song haha. Alice in Wonderland inspired look with a modern twist! Some people might know that I am beyond obsessed with Alice. I have no idea why but probably because Lewis Carroll, the author is just as disturbed as I am.

I am using a collection of pictures taken weeks ago but I insist that this still count as a new post. Heehee

I feel like blogging regularly is a good thing, it has to be habitual is it not? Therefore I am challenging myself to post constantly. It does not mean that I will post daily but hey, at least once a week.

So I bought two items on impulse by the end of the month of June: the jeans dungarees/pinafore and that white hidden wedge sneakers. It was on impulse, but for me it was not something that is regrettable, for one I feel that jeans dungarees are classic and two hidden wedge sneakers are cute! At first I thought these sneakers are a bit juvenile but then I saw a lady, nearly the age of 40 I presumed, and she was wearing a pair of GOLD hidden wedge sneakers! Afterwards I was like: heck let's try it on. Then they spoke to me, persuade me to take them home, so I did.

Featuring in this look is the lovely tea party collar.

Galleries Lafayette in Jakarta

Galleries Lafayette. Very well established in France, not very well known in Indonesia. Well, therefore I am here to write a little something something about it. So I was summoned to help weeks before the opening, with the brands that my boss handle: MaxMara Weekend, Penny Black, iBlues, and DKNY. 

These are some pictures taken before the opening (haha), I do not think that exposing these are appropriate because some might think that these harm the name of the brands? However I find these images really interesting and I do hope whoever reading this feels the same.

These two naked mannequins with their poses made me laugh. I posted this more than two months ago in my instagram, I think? Sorry I have to waited this long to write about it.

What I carried with me.

Moving on, if you do visit GL (Galleries Lafayette) you will see these boards, like below but with different brands written on it. Of all these brands below, my favorite brand with their goods is Ted Baker (please don't kill me boss). 

Below are some pictures I took of Ted Baker products, I mean how come anyone not Love it?

Other than Ted Baker I would like to specially mention about Brooks Brothers (pictures below):

I love their visual props! You know me, I love vintage stuff hence maybe I am a little bias regarding taste visual props.

I do not know whether it is ok to disclose this but I find it really strange that Michael Kors is very well ranked in this dept store. Probably because the brand was already quite known amongst the Indonesian community? 

Nobody knows, but I think there are other brands that people should give chances too, and I am not saying these things because I am working under other brands ok? Maybe partly but no, not really. I just think that people should explore more brands so that more foreign (or local) brands can flourish and grow.
