Sunday at Sundays

How lucky I am to have a proper weekend on this particular day! Took the chance to visit SUNDAYS which is one of the most hyped beach club here in Bali, I do have to say that they live up to their expectations!

Me seeking wifi.

My housemates and I enjoyed our time over there, thoroughly! We even ordered self-made Smores (das right, we have a bon fire and we fry our own marshymallows!) for the sunset and all that jazz.

All and all it was a lovely experience despite the quite pricey entrance fee: you ought to pay 300k rupiah and given 150k to spend. If you order wisely, you're good actually!

Cheers lovelies.

Veiled

Like most people that are active on social media, I guess I am one of those normal ones that struggles with self-confidence. Yes, it is normal. I do not know however, if it is healthy to normalise this kind of thing. I became very reluctant to shoot videos of myself due to how much I hate my own voice and how I look. Very self conscious (not shy). I am much better now than how I was in the past because I keep posting photos on the blog and other channels, so if you do struggle with that you are definitely not alone. No matter how many followers do you have, nobody is immune to self-confidence struggles.

But who am I kidding, this is the internet, if people want to find the most embarrassing thing about you, they will definitely find it anyway. This kind of strongly reminded me of Sherlock Holmes from the American series 'Elementary' in which he stated that 'humiliation is the currency of hackers'. (Anyone watches that show too??)

My awesome friend Farhan shot these photos of me on his film cameras. Although there are some where my face is actually more exposed I much prefer these where my face is more concealed so to speak. I think he managed to capture my tame side, which is cool! Do check out his website (my fav are the portraits, which he did mostly with films) and Instagram.

Cosmic Shakes

Greetings! It has been a tiny while. Just a teeny update. I am now living in Bali with one of my best pals Yon Ni (Okay sorry it took me so long to tell you lot). It has been packed and busy, but also exciting, no surprise there.

We went for burgers and shakes at this lovely retro restaurant, so lads and lass if you are in Bali and if you are into retro: Drop by Cosmic Diner! I love the Milkshakes over there.

P.s: That uneven tan you see was the result of reckless sun exposure in Gili island.

PI Fashion Week SS16

It has been a week since Plaza Indonesia Fashion week has passed. I am currently in Bandung and want nothing more than going to bed at this instant. However I am a strong believer of better late than never! Let me take you back to a week ago, where I went to brunch with my friends before attending the fashion week show!

My friend William Utama did a super great job in Asia Newgen Fashion Award! There were ten finalists in the final round and he won! With another contestant thats also named Will. What a delightful coincidence. I attached photos of my favorite looks from the show after my outfit post (which followed by the designer's name)!

Cardigan: Uniqlo
Shoes: ModCloth

This super fabulous outfit by Juliana Ng.

This lovely red dress by Laurensia Salim

Another one by Laurensia Salim, I adore this white ensemble!

This uber cool sporty vibe from William Utama.

The Versailles!

How early would you wake up to take pictures??

Merv and I got up early to beat the queue in Paris for the Hall of Mirrors in Chateau Versailles.
It was worth it. We were the first to enter that day, rushed to this hall, and took loads of photos.

I went to Amsterdam afterwards for WorldWide Instameet, sadly I did not really archived my outfit of the days but I promise you I had the best of fun!

Ahoy Paris

Hello lovelies!

I have now commence my post-dissertation travel! Overjoyed of course. To top it of, one of my absolute favorite retro clothing brand Unique Vintage approached me and asked me to join the style society! Which I gladly accept! Check out their retro dresses and vintage clothing as they are so beautiful and well designed. When I receive the dresses I am glad to find that the fit is great on me, bear in mind I am quite fussy with sizing and fit.

So please find the followings as the travel photos of me in Paris featuring the lovely nautical themed dress from UV! Also visited Fondation Louis Vuitton whilst I am in Paris and I have to say it is one of the best architectural phenomenon. Such brilliant design, admirable.

Dress: Unique Vintage
Shoes: B.A.I.T.
Rose Clip: Unique Vintage
Can we just take a moment to admire the architectural goodness? By the way that is Merv the one who took photos of me. Check him out as he is one of the most talented photographers!

Unwinded

I am much aware that I should do much more in my study to achieve the standard of good grades (they are very subjective I know). But often times I just failed to motivate myself. It is pretty awful considering that I actually enjoy my major, I can only imagine if I decided not to move from business school (shudder). So yeah I am wondering if you guys have any tips and tricks to actually push yourself on your laziness limits, I mean we all dealt with procrastination differently.

So, anyway, if you are here for the fashion mumbly jumbly please find the attached photos as taken by the lovely Anisacrament. Me unwinding myself from a rejoiced submission- that I know will not be resulting in a very satisfactory outcome. I want to beat myself up sometimes but I find it rather difficult to throw myself in the pit of guilt, sigh, the backslide of a carefree personality I guess.

The follow up event after this shoot? We went karaoke- yes singing, and let me tell you, Annissa rocked that microphone!
