Batavia Vintageous

Warm greetings! Another vintage venture of mine here. I visited Cafe Batavia in Jakarta, even the smell is old and fascinating here. Highly recommended for vintage lovers!

It has been awhile since I took a picture of myself like this below. Mirror snaps maybe a little 2000 late but I cannot help myself when I saw that beautiful pin-up mirror. Heehee.

I Heart UK?

Hey there I am back with my favorite bowler hat!

I have to apologize, it has been awhile since my last post...
So finally my first post with pictures I took ever since I came back home.
I am not used to be a blogger here in Indonesia but I think bloggers community flourish here more than in Shanghai?

I'm trying this black and white editing here.. Well, I think it is quite interesting.

I don't know if I will really love UK or not.. Let us see when I get there this upcoming July.

I have successfully acquire my visa and purchased my flight to London! Time for a little tribute for my upcoming trip... Here are some of my possessions that are new! With a little UK theme I asked my little brother Jason to take these pics. Cheers, bro.

That bag is so cute! I gladly took that from the shelf and bought it!

Above is my favorite picture of all these.

My lovely new shoesss! Simply adore it~

Jurassic Project

These pictures below are from last year. They are my designs for graduation project. Inspired by dinosaur fossils and bones. I like the close-ups so I also include some here. Cheers!
Some little previews here..

I love that shoes.. Too bad they are way too big for my feet.

I actually really like that cape, too bad I cant actually wear it here in Indonesia...

It was freezing when we took these shots.. The model is Ukrainian but still its too cold for anyone. Special thanks to Joanna the photographer and also Lina the beautiful model. The outcome is very satisfying.

Pin Up Girls Tribute

I have always loved Pin Up girl posters. I think that they are very sassy and inspiring. Therefore, I decided to try a little bit of Pin Up girl look, and here are some of the pictures that I have adjusted with colored effects in order to look more old and pin-up realistic. Enjoy!

This is kind of my new experience of editing with so much layers of vivid lights and overlays, but the process is quite exciting and the result is interesting too!

Special thanks for Cherry, my housemates for photographing these pictures. Visit her blog here: weirdandwicked.blogspot.com

Comments and suggestions are very welcome =)

SH Fashion Week: La Vie

So one of the fashion week tickets that I have is a backstage ticket. I was one of the dressers for La Vie.

It has been nearly one month since I have been an intern at La Vie, a fashion label originated from Shanghai. Too bad I was not with this label earlier, else I might also be a part of London Fashion Week!

Their collection here was inspired by butterflies and zen flows. Name of the collection: Zen Awakening. By the way these runway pictures came from Shanghai Fashion Week official site. Enjoy!

See this pink dress? I made that embroidery detailing: Yes. Front and Back.

This pinky outfit! One of my favorite piece in that collection!

The finale gown.

Aha! SO this is their finale. See that glow-in-the-dark butterflies? I helped them to attach those things one by one.. So much more awesome and beautiful if you can witness this finale with your own eyes. It was quite tiring.. But really fun experience overall. Below are some backstage pictures I got from a blog of Maris Manalili, she used to teach me when I was studying my degree in Raffles. Visit her blog: here.

See that was me with the chocolate belt, dressing a tall supermodel named Miao Bin. It was soo hectic I did not even realize that I was photographed. And the right one is Jenny Ji, the designer of La Vie. She was observing the order of the models from the backstage, she is really cool, and I won't fail to mention that she is also a great boss!

Shanghai Fashion Week 2012

I cannot explain how excited I was for this year's Shanghai Fashion Week because I got 3 tickets to watch the shows! Heehee... So here are the pictures I selected for the blog. I also feature 2 looks from stylish people that I met before the show.
This is Jeremy, he was one of my lecturers from Singapore. I like his total black look and that hat is a good touch too!

And, here is Baiba Ladiga, also one of my lecturer during my college time. She is a fashion designer, a stylist and also illustrator. Check out her cool blog at http://baibaladiga.blogspot.com/ She always look fabulous, but that day the highlight of her look is that amazing shoes! How can anyone not love that McQueen shoes?
Her Alexander McQueen shoes... Let's put these in my wishlist!

Here are some runway pictures I took. I choose 3 outfits that I like the most here, I think that they are really cool.

Dat Sun!

Greetings to all you amazing people out there!

When the sun comes up a blogger must do what needs to be done: taking pictures! Here are some of the pictures on that beautiful sunny day. It was not so cold anymore so I decided to take out my bow-ties jeans and show it off to the neighnorhood. I combined it with my sweatshirt and created this fun casual look.

I never actually believed that a sunny day can affect your mood in a much positive way until a while back. I have had some encounters in which I have to work super early for work. Shanghai is a very gloomy city for most of the time so I barely notice, but that time when the sun actually shines I felt much better than the rainy and shady days.
